Your buyers ask ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity what to buy, and there is no Search Console for the answers. Citino asks them daily and shows who gets named, in what order, from which pages.
Most categories already have months of history collected, so your first chart is populated on day one. Ten design-partner places are open — Growth free for 90 days.
Seventeen brands are named
in this category. You are ninth.
Visibility is the share of the category's answers
that name you at all: for Tallyfold, 10.3% of 1,785
answers over thirty days, plus or minus 3.0.
Colour is a claim, so the table spends it once.
Your row carries the accent. Every competitor
is the same neutral grey at the same weight,
whether they are first or sixteenth. A dashboard
that colours six brands is telling you six things are
urgent, which is the same as telling you nothing.
54 category prompts in your segments · 1,785 answers in 30 days · ± is a 95% interval on a finite sample.
Every answer is archived raw. When the parser improves it re-reads the archive rather than starting the record over. → Answers
A number is a summary
of something. Citino
keeps the something.
Every answer is stored whole, in the engine's own words, with the brands marked and the order of naming recorded.
Order is data. Being named sixth in a list of six is not the result of being named first, and no rank-only tool can tell you which happened. Tallyfold is named in one answer in ten — but when it is named, it averages 2.6 in the order, ahead of four brands with more visibility. That is a coverage problem, not a reputation problem, and the two need opposite fixes.
When an engine names a brand, it read something to get there. Citino records every URL cited across the category's answers and ranks the pages the engines actually lean on — your own pages, your competitors' pages, and the third-party reviews, listicles and forum threads that decide more of this category than either.
The ranking is by leverage, not by frequency. A comparison page you control and could rewrite this week sits above a forum thread from 2023 that outranks it, because one of those is an action and the other is weather. A list sorted by citation count puts them the other way round and hands you a report you cannot use.
Tallyfold gained 1.7 points in thirty days on a band of ±3.0.
Citino labels that within noise, prints it grey, and does not alert on it. Most tools draw it green and email you about it.
You will see this everywhere in the product, because it is the difference between a measurement and a mood ring. Every number carries its sample size and its interval. Drift is labelled and never quietly dropped. When the honest answer is we cannot tell yet, the product says so and tells you when the next read is. Two of the six brands in the table above did move this month; four did not, and are shown not to have.
Crateline's +2.9 and Palletworks' −3.4 clear their bands. Those two alert. The rest do not.
Citino measures the whole category, whether or not anyone in it is a customer. One collection answers for every subscriber in that category, so the marginal cost of the next customer is $0.00. Category prompts are a fixed cost, shared. Only custom prompts scale per customer.
That is why the price does not rise when you add competitors to watch, and why the benchmark pages on this site show real measured categories in which nobody has signed up.
1 · The prompts. 54 prompts per category, written as the questions buyers actually ask, then frozen. Wording is immutable. Changing the words creates a new prompt and a hard break in the chart, because two different questions are not one trend line.
2 · The sampling. ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, asked daily on a fixed schedule, times in ET. Claude is available as an add-on. Copilot and Google AI Overviews are not sampled — neither offers an official answer API — and where they appear on this site it is as a labelled referral source only.
3 · The bands. Every share is a proportion drawn from a finite sample, so it carries a 95% interval. A delta inside its band is labelled within noise and does not alert. The interval is printed beside the number, not buried in a tooltip.
4 · The limits. We do not see personalised or logged-in answers. We do not see the 29% of AI-referred sessions that cannot be matched to a prompt, and we report that 29% rather than distributing it. A category with too few answers to publish is marked paused rather than shown thin.
Because collection is shared, categories are measured before anyone in them buys anything. The benchmark pages are the result: real measured data on brands who never signed up, open with no signup and no email.
| Category | Brands | History | Answers / 30d | Leader | Leader share |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Warehouse Management Software · US | 17 | 90d | 1,785 | Crateline | 31.4% |
| HR & Payroll Software · US | 24 | 90d | 2,140 | Verithorn | 28.9% |
| Ecommerce Retention Marketing · US | 19 | 90d | 1,930 | Loopwell | 34.2% |
| Auth & Identity Infrastructure · US | 21 | 62d | 1,604 | Keyform | 26.7% |
| Field Service Management · US | 16 | 48d | 1,210 | Rotamesh | 22.4% |
| Freight Audit Software · US | 6 | 41d | 402 | — | paused, too few |
Freight Audit Software stays in the list with no leader. Six brands and 402 answers is not enough to name a winner, so it does not name one. A directory that never shows an empty row is a directory that is guessing on the rows you cannot check.
IllustrativeSelf-serve from $79 a month. The $249 plan is bought exactly the way the $79 one is — you pick a category and start.
There is no demo gate anywhere on this site. A demo gate on a $249 product means the founders personally demo every lead, which is a worse product and a slower answer for you.
Price does not scale with the number of competitors you track, because the category collection is shared and already running. Only custom prompts are billed per customer.
